# Ask above market price

Why can’t you set a price above market price. If you want to buy BTC and you’re willing to pay for a faster transaction why isn’t that available? I guess i’m thinking about it like how we set miner fees but maybe there is a reason not to have that?

On your BUY offer, enter a negative market price.

The field is labeled ‘below % from market price.’

The BUY offer assumes you will BUY at or BELOW market rate.  
So entering a negative value here will derive a price above market.
