Balance does not reconcile with tx list

Hello,
I’ve made two BTC purchases in the last 24 hours (nothing unfinished or failed), one as a maker, and the other as a taker. The transactions shown in Funds>Transactions (deposit movements and fees) do not add up to the new balance. The difference is fairly material as well. I did not check my account balance after the first transaction, so I don’t know if either one of them is problematic or both.

The absolute discrepancy is 0.008 BTC and if I assumed that the fees had been correctly applied, these would amount to 13% percent of the total net purchase value instead of slightly above 1% as shown at the time of transactions.

Also, if I open the mempool.space links from the transaction list, the amounts there do not match individual maker/taker fees displayed in the program, nor do they add up to thesame totals. I tried to find the mempool page documentation, either Bisq-specific or general (e.g. I’ve read the Support Agent Knowledge Base), and could not find anything useful for interpreting Inputs & Outputs panel.

Could someone explain why I was charged such exorbitant fees, and how to avoid this in the future (assuming there was no program bug)? Happy to provide logs/explorer links etc.
Many thanks.

When balance at Bisq is incorrect, the most probable is that the wallet is not in sync. To make Bisq wallet look for all the tx again from 0, you need to do a spv resync. Resyncing SPV file - Bisq Wiki

I hope that the balance will be ok after this.

Thanks for the suggestion. I have done the resync, too. Unfortunately, this has not had any effect.

Sometimes one resync does not sync your wallet correctly. From what you are describing it sounds like your wallet is still out of sync.

This discrepancy is too high. Bisq charges as trading fees (0.12% by maker and 0.88% by taker). With the absolute minimum fee to avoid dust is 0.00005 BTC. It might be your wallet is out of sync or alternatively you are looking in the wrong place for your funds.

Funds > Send Funds - will show you the total amount of BTC in your wallet available to send.
Available Funds on the top right of Bisq should match this amount.

Is this the case?

Where you the taker? The miner fees for taker include three transactions the sum of which is shown in miner fees (taker transaction, deposit transaction, payout transaction)

Could someone explain why I was charged such exorbitant fees, and how to avoid this in the future (assuming there was no program bug)? Happy to provide logs/explorer links etc.
Many thanks.

Have you got Matrix? Matrix bisq.chat - Bisq Wiki

Feel free to reach out to me there my username is: @pazza83:matrix.org

I am happy to let you know exactly what was paid in fees, and what your wallet balance should be, but I would ask you for transaction IDs that are better shared privately.

You were right Pazza, the transactions did eventually reconcile. Thanks for your advice, even though Bisq is extensively documented, occasionally things fall through the cracks.

No problems, it caused me to scratch my head for a while also when I was trying to work out why things appeared to be different!
