# Depositing Fiat

Hi guys,

I must be missing a trick here but can you point me to where I can find out how to deposit fiat using the app? I can readily deposit BTC ok but what about EUR for example?

Bisq doesn’t have a sort of fiat account. It only has BTC internal wallet since it is decentralized.  
Instead, you start a trade where you either send or receive fiat to your bank account (or whatever account your payment method provides) and your BTC get exchanged for that in a secure and decentralized way.

Fiat is handled outside of Bisq directly between traders.  
With the help of multisig with arbitrators and tamper-proof evidence of trades, security of the trade is provided in case of dispute.
