# Fees are going where?

I’m very new to Bisq.

I wonder who collects the fees. After all Bisq is not a company. I read something about the DAO, is this an Ethereum thing? What is the DAO saying about the fees, then?

I think it’s a good idea if the Open Source community of developers behind the Bisq software gets some funding. But I didn’t find anything about that in the FAQ.
