# Help is my deposit for a trade lost?

Help. I saw an open trade offering BTC for USD. While waiting for the BTC deposit to be confirmed on bisq my internet shut out, now my BTC is being sent to a trade that isn’t there anymore. Can anyone help?

Your BTC are safe. When the trade is started BTC are locked in a 2-of-3 multisig with the other trader and the arbitrator. If you have any issues and the trade can not complete successfully you will always be able to open a dispute and you will be able to recover your bitcoins with the help of the arbitrator as long as you still have access to your wallet file.
