# How fast will arbitration be done with DAO?

First off, kudos to arbitrators this week making the change to check altcoin transactions to speed up the arbitration process. Last week I had several 5 and 6 day trades with altcoin waiting for a non responsive trading partner, so this 24 hour arbitration resolution feels like a blessing. My question is, will the DAO replacing arbitrators be able to provide as fast a resolution? I’m not exactly clear how it works.

I am not sure how fast the DAO will replace arbitrators in full, but even when it does I have doubts it would actually be faster.

It might be slower, but more secure and decentralized. I don’t know really what the future holds.
