# How to delete backups?

Pretty new to bitcoin, just installed Bisq and set up a wallet, created a backup, set a password, and added funding methods for USD.

I want to change the location of my backups on my computer, but can’t delete the old backup folders. I created 2 backups in my home directory on Mac and when i try to move them to the trash it errors and says:

“The operation can’t be completed because one or more required items can’t be found.  
(Error code -43)”

How do i delete these old backups?

It seems like some file system issue. Maybe [this](https://apple.stackexchange.com/questions/139105/error-the-operation-can-t-be-completed-because-one-or-more-required-items-can) will help.  
Have you tried restarting your computer?

Restarting didn’t work, however I simply opened the terminal and ran rm -rf on the folder and that worked.

I was afraid to suggest that as it seemed like a deep OS bug, but I’m glad it worked out.
