# Installing and running Bisq

I have tried to run both the old bitsqaure software and the new Bisq software  
I down loaded both versions opend the dmg file moved them to my applications file  
When I tried to open the they shut down a second or two after I launch them  
Am I missing something in the install process.???

I guess you’re on Mac? I don’t know Mac but I think all you need to do to install is open the .dmg file and it should run the installation by itself, with out needed to move around files…

Have opened the dmg file and moved it into applications but no joy ??

You need to move the .app file to applications not the dmg
