# java.io.IOException: Auth cookie not created

Hi guys, have tried to get up and running on and off over the the last month but unfortunately can’t seem to resolve this issue. Any help appreciated. Thanks Simon

This is a known issue that we are still working on. See [https://github.com/bisq-network/bisq/issues/2398](https://github.com/bisq-network/bisq/issues/2398) for more details.

At this point I don’t know the exact cause or aware of an easy/quick workaround to get you going.

If you don’t mind me asking, are you running Windows? What kind of specs is your machine (is it relatively old/slow, or running on a Virtual Machine?)

I’ve got an older i7 running win10 but it should be ok.
