I had buyers taking my open offers but the confirmation txs are stuck in the mempool with way too low fees (due to the mempool being clogged up presently).

Fees should have been 7x higher to go through, now it might take 1-2 days

It can be frustrating when the deposit confirmations take a while due to the mempool being full. I think the best thing to do is check a couple of times a day to see when it has confirmed.

It is indeed a big responsibility setting these parameters while coding the application.
Until a few weeks ago, users would complain miner fees were too high, and we needed a way to optionally set deposit txns to a much lower fee setting because typically 1sat/vB was cleared “fast enough”.
This is the first time I’ve seen a complaint go the opposite way, but I suppose it’s just normal given the current situation.

Out of curiosity, how would you make these two scenarios fit with each other? Not easy at all IMO.
Also, mempool has this habit of just suddenly clogging on you when you think it’s free.
