# No application window showing up (MacOS)

When I start bisq, there is no application window showing up. The app is in the Doc (active), in the status bar, and on the top left corner (apple navigation) there is only one menu item (“bisq”, options: Hide bisq, Hide Others, Show all, Quit bisq).

Can’t do anything but quit the application… What am I doing wrong? Couldn’t find any help online.

MaOS Sierra 10.12.6  
newest Java installed (java version “1.8.0\_161”)

There were some cases of this, like in this topic

Perhaps you can try building from source, if you can’t get it to work.

Thanks. I’d really like to do that, so I downloaded the files. But to be honest, when reading the [build.md](http://build.md), I noticed that this is way too complicated for me, I didn’t understand any of those steps…😝

So I hope there will be a new version for mac very soon 🙏

Didn’t work. I deleted the app and the folder in the library several times… 🤔

@dabu @ManfredKarrer working on Sierra 10.12.6 but I’m going to update to High Sierra now and I’ll report back 😉 Wanted to do it anyway…
