# Protocol Issue, Cannot confirm payment

Hi,

I was the seller, buyer paid but I cannot confirm the payment, it gives me the following issue:

what can I do to resolve the problem?

Please open mediation:

Select pending trade and click: ‘Ctrl + o’ or ‘alt + o’ or ‘cmd + o’

Thanks, have done so and got you as mediator.

Apperently, the coins were released to the buyer and I also got my security deposit back. However, the error message is still there.

Yes, sounds strange. It would seem although it looked like it failed it was actually successful. When you click confirm payment you sign the transaction to complete the trade. The transaction has been signed and is now complete.
