I’m new. Can I transfer .01 BTC from my GDAX account wallet into Bisq wallet to satisfy the security deposit? Is there a fee to do that?

Yes. You can send the BTC to your Bisq wallet. The fee for it is a usual mining fee that you will pay to the Bitcoin network to get your transaction confirmed.
