# Stuck open trade status -- releasing the funds

[Contact your arbitrator](https://bisq.community/t/arbitrators/8074) so that they can begin to make a [manual payout](https://docs.bisq.network/manual-dispute-payout.html).

Before this you could try to [make a backup](https://docs.bisq.network/backup-recovery.html#back-up) and [Resync the SPV Chain](https://docs.bisq.network/backup-recovery.html#resync-spv-chain). But I’m not sure of the implications that has on the open trades.
