I received two emails noting changes to Bisq v1.10.x. [I already downloaded and installed Bisq v1.10.x.] In both emails there was this:

**Action Required Within 14 Business Days**

Please review and acknowledge the updated protocol terms by the deadline. Accounts that have not confirmed acceptance may have their ability to open new offers or take trades temporarily restricted until acknowledgment is complete. Existing open trades and wallet balances are not affected by this restriction.

Both options to acknowledge linked to a .bat file, and I am reluctant to open such a file unless it is a legitimate Bisq file. Is this a valid communication? And are the .bat files safe to activate?

Bisq does not send mails, you have not registered with mail to use Bisq.

For peace of mind, learn to verify signatures and do it. Maybe it’s because that’s what I’m used to, but I think it’s easier with Linux.

> Bisq2 can be downloaded here. Before installing software that manages your funds, you should always verify the installer has not been tampered with, to avoid the risk of losing funds due to a compromised download.
