# Western Union & Moneygram cash payouts in Germany

Hi, to Whom It May Concern

Western Union & Moneygram used to be very useful when you got robbed, lost your wallet with your money and your ID etc.

Now, you need a **German** Passport or “Personal-Ausweis” ID additional to the transaction number.  
And cash payouts are limited to 1000 Euro PER YEAR!  
And they charge high fees.

So there are not much useful use cases left for Germany.
