(Posting new topic as earlier post on related older topic didn’t receive any inputs)
Hi,
I am facing this problem, strange though that this was supposed to be fixed long back. Here is what happened.
I have enabled password for my wallet but since I didn’t use it for long time I seem to have forgotten my password when even after repeated attempts I couldn’t get through. So I use the forgot password option and started entering my key words and surprisingly after only 6 words the restore wallet option got active (crazily it wouldn’t if I enter all 12 words). I have some small BTC in my wallet so it asked warned me that my wallet was not empty but I still chose to restore it anyway and then it opened the application but my wallet balance was shown as zero. So reading through the support posts I selected to resync the spv chain and shutdown. But since then the resync is failing repeatedly with this warning, it comes to 98% and then stops. I don’t know what to do next. I have my seed words so does it mean my wallet balance can still be retrieved? Any clues how to get that would be much appreciated.
Thanks for reply. I have installed the new version of 1.9.22 Bisq which completed the SPV sync successfully. But now my wallet shows zero BTC, is there a way to restore the wallet balance from earlier backup (done with older version 19.21)? If not, any other way to restore the wallet balance if I have my seedwords.
But a strange thing happens, when I click on Accounts→wallet seed option it is asking for password to show the seeds but I have already restored the wallet with the seed words which means there is no password now. Is this going to be a problem as I am seeing some bisq errors when I try to buy something.
Please ignore the above issue as it was probably caused by in improper backup restore of my wallet. It is working fine now after correct backup file was used.
