what u mean with timeing out? at startup that you dont get the initial screen? if so check your networks connections. check if tor browser is working. if you are in a county which is hostile to tor it might be the reason.
otherwise if u never have used bitsquare before (no funds, no offers,…) u can simply delete the data directory (see https://forum.bitsquare.io/t/switching-to-a-new-data-directory/1697) and try again. maybe the tor onion address u got (randomly) makes issues?
