I am a new user for bitsquare and tried to send btc from another wallet to fund the wallet in bitsquare. A popup says opening a default wallet app has failed and will not let me go on with the transaction. The software won’t allow me to receive coins. What is the default wallet app? What am I missing?

The default wallet is the one which has been registered in the operating system, usually Bitcoin Core or any other which has set itself as default app for a bitcoin address.
But if you get an error there it is nothing critical, you can copy the address or scan via the QR code.
The click to open the default wallet and get the address there is just for convenience.
And … how can I change my default bitcoin wallet in Ubuntu?
