In the settings it says that connections to Monero explorer is made through Tor except for localhost. Is the same true for Bitcoin explorer? Is Tor used when you connect to remote Bitcoin explorer but if you are running Bitcoin explorer locally on the same machine that Bisq is installed and you connect Bisq to locally running Bitcoin explorer Tor will not be used?
bisq doesn’t connect to a traditional bitcoin explorer, it uses a bitcoin node with peerbloomfilters activated to check the transactions on the internal wallet
it will use whatever settings you enable, there is a “use tor for bitcoin network connections” under settings > network, if you want to connect through lan directly to a node you own, you will place the node’s address in the address field, and make sure the tor checkbox is disabled
ah now I got you, that’s the explorer that your browser is directed to when you click on a txid in the wallet, if you wish see that tx on a web explorer
