So I just downloaded bitsquare today. I set a password and wrote it down, my laptop later died and as I restart my laptop and start up bitsquare I’m asked for the password and whatever I input isn’t accepted so I must have written the wrong password twice while making my password which I find quite comical. I didn’t set a wallet seed as I had no idea what it was at the time so there’s no ways of recovering it through that. I uninstalled bitsquare hoping that when I reinstalled there would be a new account but I was still asked for a password.

So my question is how do I make a new account or change my current password? I tried everything to my knowledge but no luck.

If you don’t have any funds in the wallet and have no open offers, you can delete the following folder and restart the app:

OSX: /Users/username/Library/Application Support/Bitsquare

Win: C:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\Bitsquare

Do u have added bitcoin already or started making an offer or trades? if not then u can remove the data directory. and start over again.

Here are instruction how to change (or remove in your case) the data directory.

Thanks for the help! I had no bitcoins or any offers at that point. I followed the instructions and was given a new wallet. Have a nice day :slight_smile:
