Subject: Lost Access to Account Data Due to Hardware Failure – Request for Help

Message:

Hello Bisq team,

I have recently lost access to my Bisq installation due to a sudden hardware failure (likely a short circuit). Unfortunately, I did not make a backup of the data directory nor did I save any of the account or contact information manually.

Within Bisq, I had configured three official SEPA accounts that I used for trading. While I understand that Bisq is designed for privacy and decentralization, I was hoping that there might be some way to re-verify or reconnect these accounts, given that they are legitimate and tied to my name.

I am aware that the 12-word seed is only for the wallet and does not restore account data. If there’s any procedure that would allow me to reconnect or reuse my previously registered SEPA accounts (e.g., through some kind of manual verification or linking), I would be grateful for your guidance.

Thank you for your time and any assistance you can offer.

Best regards,

Unfortunately unless you have backups there is no way to recover your signed or aged payment accounts. You can add them again though and get them signed. It does not take long for the limits to be increased.

this means my whole BTC are gone is that right?

Or is there any possibility to secure the btc

I am aware that the 12-word seed is only for the wallet and does not restore account data.

This is correct.

With your seed phrase you can restore your bitcoin balance (and BSQ if you had any). Your seed phrase does not restore your payment account details.
