Lost offer deposit after restarting from seed phrase

Hi - my old computer was damaged and I couldn’t recover any data from it, so I had to restore Bisq on my new computer via my seed phrase. It worked thank god, as there was a fair bit of BTC on there. However, my fully synced balance is 0.007BTC lower than it should be. And on the previous computer I did have an untaken offer - which had been paused - to sell about £1500 worth of BTC via Revolut.

Given that my BTC shortfall is worth about £500, I think what’s happened is the ~30% deposit for my untaken Revolut offer has been locked up somewhere in the ether, and Bisq can’t allocate it to me as my rebooted client doesn’t have any of my account / offer history.

I know I should have backed up my data folder to avoid a situation like this, so it’s basically my fault :frowning:

Can a moderator help me recover the missing 0.007 somehow? I can provide any account identifiers etc if you tell me what you need.

Thanks & apologies for creating this situation!

If the offer was not taken, you only lose the maker fee, which is a small amount. The funds are only reserved in your wallet (meaning that Bisq wallet won’t move those funds except the offer is taken, or mark them as available if the order is removed), so you should get the full balance when importing from seed.

Check the addresses with funds in your wallet on a blockchain explorer to see if your Bisq wallet matches with the info at the block explorer, or go to bisq.chat where you can give more details to support agent.
Since you lost the trading data and onion address, and you’re not aware of any trade taken, mediators can’t do anything. If that trade was paused, nobody could have taken it, and most likely your balance will be correct once checked carefully.
