Mediator Chat Error

Hi, Trying to chat with the mediator but always getting an error like : ““Receiver could not process message, Error: time out. Try sending the message again””.

I restarted BISQ multiple times, but still getting the same error.
My OS is UBUNTU20.04
Any way to fix this ?

I don’t know if the messages are really sent or how to fix it. You can contact your mediator through Keybase if he doesn’t reply in 48h.

I’m getting this same issue in trade chat on OSX. I think it might have been introduced w/ 1.7.0, but I cannot confirm because the application prevents me from restarting w/ an older version (probably for good reason, and I appreciate the safeguard!)

I would like to get to the bottom of it because I have a trade that is nearing the end of the trade period and I might need to speak w/ a mediator.

Seems like a temporary issue after all. My last two trade chats went through fine (on the same trade).

Yes it is a current bug.

““Receiver could not process message, Error: time out. Try sending the message again””. actually means “message saved in receivers inbox”
