New installation

Hello everybody,

hope you can help me with a problem.
Have bisq installed by default. Worked perfectly.
Now I tried to connect my desktop app with Android.
Have maybe written the received peer code probably in the wrong line. Result bisq can no longer be started.
Let’s forget the connection to the app, the main thing pc works again.
First attempt deinstallation of bisq. New installation.
Unfortunately all settings of two hours before are reinstalled here again.
How can I prevent this and make a completely new installation.

Thanks for help

Hello,
To deinstall your Bisq settings, you must in fact deinstall your personal Bisq data directory (and not the application).
Bisq personal data directory locations:
Mac OSX: /Users/username/Library/Application Support/Bisq
Linux: /home/username/.local/share/Bisq
Windows 7+ : C:\Users<username>\AppData\Roaming\Bisq
Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Bisq

You can delete this directory or, much better, just rename it in order to have it archived.

Thanks at first for the help.

I have think the same but i can’t find any other directory.

not in the roaming or somewhere else.
The own that i have is in AppData\Local\bisq
enclose a Picture of the file.

Here you can see, the Installation date was 16.07. for example unins000.exe.
And the other dll files was delited too. But the date is after the new Installation still from the first installation.
Is the Roaming\Bisq Maybe hidden?
how exactly does that file called? (the file for the personal bisq definitions)

Hello,
I don’t have windows but what you show above seems to be the Bisq application. There is no need to touch it.

Yes the data directory may be hidden (I believe I remember such a case).
You have to check some button somewhere to see the hidden files.

thanks for the help!!!

The Bisq data is stored in:

  • Windows 7+: C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Bisq
  • Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\Bisq
