No wallet address after upgrade

I am new to this, would appreciate non tech advice and I haven’t seen where this has already been covered.

After upgrading the Bisq version I cannot find an address to fund the security deposit and get a message about an " external explorer" which I don’t know how to find. Further, the keyword date keeps changing.

You should be able to find your Bisq address in Funds->Receive funds and a button to generate a new address if you wish. That is all you need to start trading on Bisq.

Thanks but when I go there I only get a message “open external blockchain explorer for address: null” I know I must be doing something wrong.

If you don’t have any funds deposited in Bisq, you can always just start over by moving your data directory somewhere else. After that your Bisq client will act as if it is running for the first time and create a new data directory.

You can find the data directory under:

  • Mac OSX: /Users/username/Library/Application Support/Bisq
  • Linux: /home/username/.local/share/Bisq
  • Windows 7,8,10: C:\Documents and Settings\username\AppData\Roaming\Bisq
  • Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Bisq
