Setting up a National Currency Account

Hello,

Will I experience any issues if I input a generic name and postal address for either a US Postal Money Order or Western Union account in yhe BISQ account creation? I believe I’ve read that for a USPS money order you only need to input the name of the recipient and the transaction can be successful. On the bisq server would a seller be unlikely to initiate a trade with me if I made these fields generic? Also, if you have any experience with WesternUnion either in person or using the mobile app is it similar to a USPS Money Order where you are able to leave your information omitted when sending it?

Hello @MelanisticMan

Don’t use generic info.

Sellers may refuse or cancel, and it can cause disputes.
USPS needs the correct recipient name, and Western Union requires real details for pickup.

Using real info = smoother trades.

Okay. All of this information is only stored locally, correct? It is also revealed solely to sellers? Out of curiosity, what type of payment account/system do you prefer to use when purchasing cryptocurrency via Binq?
