Uninstall and Reinstall On Mac Book

Hi all

I installed Bisq ages ago on my MacBook but never used it.

Want to use it now but…silly me…can’t remember my password and seed phrase.

Wanted to uninstall it and then reinstall it from fresh.

I have removed it from applications and emptied trash for Bisq and Tor, re-installed, restarted but am still getting asked for password or seedphrase…help me!!!

Remove the bisq data directory. Not sure of the default location on OS X, hopefully there were no funds in your bisq wallet as without the wallet password or seed you will not be able to recover them

First of all, save the following folder somewhere safe:

macOS: /Users/<username>/Library/Application Support/Bisq

If you didn’t have any funds do follow @DrFredPhD 's advice.

Hey Doc

I have removed everything associated with bisq. shut down and restarted machine…re-installed and then run bisq…same thing!

Keeps prompting me for password or seed phrase…no other option

You removed the directory mentioned above by huey? Actually he’s right, best practise would be to move it somewhere else, or rename it.

I uninstall with IObit Uninstaller. That’s all OK on Windows 10.
