When paying a exchanger with an Amazon gift card has anyone experienced what I have? The trader said he never got the code number although it was sent to the email address he gave to me to send it to when amazon asks what email address do you want us to send this to. My question is What should I do in the future? send the number to me instead? Even if the trader requests the email to him?
Sending the egift card to btc seller was right. Open mediation to clarify the issue.

Amazon just wrote me back. They said I should send the email address to myself.
What did you ask Amazon? Maybe Amazon is not aware that the receiver of the mail does not trust that you will send the gift card correctly after purchasing it (before spending it first).
That’s why it’s indicated in the payment instructions in Bisq and shown in the wiki that you should send the card directly to BTC buyer mail, which is provided in the contract.
Did you open mediation?
I have seen cases in mediation before when the BTC seller provides an incorrect email address.
In these cases the email from Amazon is never able to be delivered to the seller. What happens is that when the buyer contacts Amazon support to let them know this they tend to be offered one of the following:
- A refund of their payment (gift card can be cancelled if not used)
- For the seller to provide another email address to send the payment to (can be their own)
If you decide to get the gift card sent to your email address then you can receive the credit but you should not provide this to the seller. As once you have received the code the trade should be cancelled.
In cases like this you should always open mediation.
And sometimes you cannot receive your product or service unless you give your code number to the seller. Ask your seller first what does he expect of the two, A gift card number from you or an email from Amazon.
